Lina Stores is already a big deal down in London, so to say I was thrilled for Manchester to have it’s very own site is a total understatement.

I was lucky enough to get an invite to the much anticipated soft launch (eternally grateful Lucy Noone Blake) of this beautifully designed, mint green and white striped sensation.

Lina is a combination restaurant, deli, and bar that brings Italian style, flavour and warmth to the good ol’ North West.

A lil bit o’ history for you: Lina Stores has been going strong in Soho for over 80 years, all thanks to the legend herself, Lina, who founded this beloved Italian deli.

As for the food… well, honestly, I was expecting greatness, and guess what? I got greatness. I knoooow, sounds pretty boring… “Food was great, loved it, 10/10, would recommend” etc etc, but seriously, the reputation was already grande, so I had high hopes, and they did not disappoint.

The deli section alone was dreamy by the way. A whole counter full of fresh sandwiches, Italian desserts, and on the shelves? Dried pasta in every shape and size, tomato sauce, pesto, olives, Prosecco, Limoncello, and coffee.

And last but definitely not least, big shoutout to our server, Evie! At just 19, this Bath gal moved to (sometimes sunny) Manchester only three weeks ago, and already, she’s completely nailed the Lina vibe. She was warm, super knowledgeable, and totally made us feel at home. Basically, we got a full-on Italian experience without needing to leave the country. Fair play Evie, well done team Lina Stores!
